Snakes Alive! Pipelines
Snakes Alive! Pipelines
To do without gas
may indeed be a pain the ass
But to do without water
is to be dead like the dinosaurs
And they will find us
all in a pit of tar
Just like dinosaurs
and not much smarter
Pipelines Like Snakes...& Cockroaches
Fracked gas and oil pipelines are like snakes. They snake their way all through this country and they hiss when they leak. Of course no one can hear that, so they damage or kill whatever water source that has been put at risk for that pipeline. Actually that seems like an insult to snakes, although I have not really thought much about them before.
Fracked gas and oil pipelines are also like cockroaches. For each one you hear about or discover, there are literally hundreds more being built, or scheduled to be built, or have already been built. There are so many. As if there were no such thing as Climate Change whatsoever. Perhaps in their glee, they simply forgot.
If you take a gander at the Oil and Gas Journal, for instance, which lists pages and pages of pipeline projects, hundreds of pages, a few on each page. On the far left handside of the page the number of tanks we have on reserve for oil is listed. There is no such mention for tanks of water.
Climate Who?
Whatever either side of the aisles purports their climate stance to be, it is apparent from this bit of reality re pipelines, that it is indeed non partisan. Non partisan in their lack of any real concern or real action to at least slow Climate Change down.
At least do not rev it up. Don’t open it up full throttle like some kind of wup ass we all had coming to us for some unknown slight. I think we generally think of the Democrats as being more on the side of making changes that matter when it comes to Climate Change. But once again, it would seem that their actions say something other than what their press releases say.
You Can Call Me Joe …
First up, you might have guessed, is the infamous Joe Manchin Pipeline. Since they have so many different names for this one, which I will not be listing, I will simply call it the Joe Manchin pipeline. Although to be fair, I could just as well call it the Joe n Nancy and Chuck Pipeline. Likely some others in there too. Everybody pitches in you see…
WWJD?
There are many issues that could be brought up in re to Mr. Manchin and his machinations. But for now anyway, this pipeline will simply be mentioned as a result of the water it threatens. In spite of having the very unique distinction as having been green lighted past all the usual necessary applications for permits etc. in the recent debt ceiling/ Financial Responsibilities act, which even mentioned our waterways in relation to that pipeline, it came before the Supreme Court. You may have heard or seen some small thing about it. If you blinked, you surely missed it though.
It has already been constructed, the lawsuit was in regard to the last part of it which the Supreme Court has ruled can proceed through the Jackson Forest .
Many Christians believe that Jesus Christ will return, once again. If that is so, will there be any water left for Him to walk on?
Four Fracks Against Your Water-
This will briefly explain the four ways that fracking risks your one water supply. It is going to be as simple as possible cos it was written by a simple person-me. Ok?
Frack #1
The first way that fracking kills water is in it’s immediate usage. Fracking itself demands a certain amount (and it isn’t a small amount ) of potable clean water. They used to admit to 8-21 million gallons per frack. Nowadays I cannot find anywhere near that amount admitted to on the net. Only a few hundred thousand gallons into the millions.
The oil folks say they do not use as much water for their fracking activities as agriculture does. That brings me to -
Frack # 2
The clean sweet potable water they have used to frack with, comes back toxic and no longer viable. Fracking waste water is known as “produced water”. It’s possible use in the irrigation of agriculture is something that is not unheard of and I am looking into.
More often though what they tend to do is to inject it back into the earth. That way if it somehow did not damage any water already, it now gets another chance. And if it already did, it gets an encore and does it again, in a different way.
Frack #3
Ok besides the fact that they use an astronomical amount of potable water just to frack with in the first place, and the fact they inject the waste water made back into the earth, there is also the possibility that somehow the oil and gas that they have created from this pressurization will leak into the water table and contaminate it . Unfortunately for us, this is not the only point where the oil and gas might leak and poison the water table.
Frack # 4
When the oil they have attained from their fracking is put in the pipeline, if that pipeline leaks the oil comes out and contaminates not only where it immediately leaks but usually the water table as well. Whether it is directly above or somewhere nearby. You have only to look up“Pipeline Accidents” to get an idea of how regularly this happens.
Imagine Having Endless Tries
When they lose a court battle they know they did not really lose. It is just a stall. A postponement. They simply bide their time and try again and again and again. You do not need a physics degree to understand that anything given infinite tries will eventually succeed no matter how ill advised, cruel or plain assbackward it is. A recent example being the overturning of Roe Vs. Wade.
The Almighty AI Cannot Make Water
Here are the facts. We cannot survive for longer than three days without water. Even in a best case scenario you are not going to be stretching that out for much longer than that. It isn’t like all these other things that there are work arounds for, or short cuts.
Maybe if they weren’t tanking the number of children that they are for two decades or so, someone might have figured out how to make water by now, but that is an article for another time, I guess.
Bug Spray or Cola With Lunch
There are still some of us around who realize that you do not need a peer reviewed study for all things. For instance, we already know that drinking bug spray (any brand) is not safe. If you look it up, I don’t know if you will find anything to tell you that, but that won’t make you switch up your kid’s gmo laden cola for that bug spray.
That is just a little joke. But the list of beverages is much shorter without water. There isn’t supposed to be cola in this house, but I am wondering if that is altogether true. Hmmm.
Thank you for reading. I hope you will leave a message, whether it is positive or negative will be appreciated regardless. Stay safe and bye for now.
